2026 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Billy Schrauth, OG, Notre Dame
Name: Billy Schrauth
Height: 6-4
Weight: 302
Position: OL
Exposures (2024): TXAM, VAUN
RS junior. Starts at guard, has played both RG and LG. Average in pass protection, average run blocker. Good first step in both phases of the game. Does a good job of playing with a wide base in pass pro. Plays long, uses his length well, can extend and displays adequate knee bend in pass pro. Can work with OTs and handle twists and stunts, looks football-smart.
As a run blocker, he is marginal, possibly below-average. Stays in the hunt, releases well on screens, finds color to block in space. Flashes being able to dent and strike at the LOS. Displays good foot speed to work up to the second level and even flashes being able to encircle opposing ILBs. Key issue for me is lack of balance; winds up on the ground too much.
Can work to the second level but struggles to really latch onto defenders and drive them off the ball. Struggles to get any vertical push around the goal line. Will bend at the waist as a run blocker which causes him to overextend and wind up on the ground. Responds well after a bad play. Check senior year for development.
