Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has appealed to fans and the public to stop fueling the ongoing drama surrounding his marriage to his wife, Natasha Osawaru, warning that the increased attention is putting her safety at risk.

The singer made the emotional plea through an Instagram Story titled “A plea” with the words “help me” written boldly across it. He later shared a video in which he called for calm and insisted that the situation had spiraled beyond what he ever intended.

In the video, the 50-year-old star urged his supporters to stop amplifying the issues, noting that the intense scrutiny was creating danger for Natasha Osawaru and worsening an already delicate situation. He emphasized that while disagreements happen in every home, the current escalation was harmful.

“This is getting out of hand, and it’s becoming a dangerous situation,” he said. “I know what fans can do; I know what people can do. I’m perfectly okay. This is putting Natasha at risk, it’s not fair to anybody.”

He pleaded with friends, family, and fans to “calm down” and allow him and his wife to handle their private matters. “Please, ceasefire. I beg you. I am perfectly fine. I did not make that post. Please, I’m okay,” he added, referring to previous social media posts he claimed he did not author.

The controversy intensified following a live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze, during which 2Baba’s former management team, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Natasha of trying to take “full control” of his personal and professional life. They claimed she dictated his finances and public engagements and said the singer needed to be “saved.”

The situation took an unexpected turn when 2Baba joined the live session and angrily told his former managers to “shut the f**k up,” warning them to stay out of his private affairs. Shortly after, an off-camera argument between him and Natasha could be heard before the livestream abruptly ended.

The singer’s statement appears aimed at halting the public spectacle and protecting his wife as the situation continues to draw widespread attention.

“I am perfectly okay… this is putting Natasha at risk. I need everybody to cease fire. We are going to resolve all these issues.”
