A Nigerian man has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter) after politely rejecting a public romantic proposal made by a lady on the platform.
The lady, using the handle @4Lasade, initiated the public proposal by expressing her admiration for the man, @Intern_gbogbo_H, describing him as a “man of value” and inquiring if he would be open to further conversation.
The man, @Intern_gbogbo_H, responded to the proposal publicly, commending her for her courage but stating that he was not open to the offer at the moment.
His response read:
“I appreciate your courage for speaking up. I know we have interacted few times on the TL and I can tell that you are great person.
However, I may not be able to have further conversations around this at the moment. I am sorry.”
The viral tweet, which garnered over 150,000 views, sparked numerous reactions from X users, many of whom praised the lady’s boldness but suggested the man should have handled the rejection privately in her Direct Messages
