5. Ibrahim Hamad (Tanzania)
The Taifa Stars defender had a remarkable performance against Uganda in their 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Although he did not get any goal contribution, he put in a solid shift at the back. Hamad recorded two tackles, five clearances, and won all 12 of his duels. He hardly put a foot wrong on the night, and he was a major reason his side got a draw against Uganda.

4. Hannibal Mejbri (Tunisia)

Mejbri had a very strong showing for Tunisia against Nigeria. He struggled to stamp his authority in the midfield in the first half. But he improved in the second and was in the middle of everything good for the Carthage Eagles.

The Burnley man got an assist on the night. He would be disappointed that his side lost eventually.

3. Victor Osimhen (Nigeria)

Victor Osimhen registered a goal and an assist for Nigeria against Tunisia. He scored a brilliant header in the first half, before setting up Lookman for Nigeria’s third in the second half.

Osimhen was a problem for the Tunisian defenders, and he probably would have scored two more on the night if he had used his his chances judiciously.

2. Wilfred Ndidi (Nigeria)

Wilfred Ndidi had yet another great game in the middle of the park for Nigeria. He covered every single blade of grass and hardly gave the Tunisians any breathing space.

His dictated the tempo of the game brilliantly and hardly put a wrong foot. To crown his efforts, he scored the second goal for Nigeria.

1. Ademola Lookman (Nigeria)
Lookman was the star of matchday 2 in Group C. He scored a goal and assisted two others to drag Nigeria to a 3-2 win over Tunisia.

Ademola Lookman’s footwork was on another level, and it led straight to the goal.

He was just unplayable. His goal on the night was simply delightful. It was a solid performance from the Atalanta man.
