Satechi showcases ultra-slim keyboards and cheap aluminum mouse with modular batteries

With a USB-C dongle and Bluetooth, macOS and Windows support as well as a relatively affordable price point, the keyboards are intended to appeal to many groups of users.

Alongside the Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock that looks like an Apple Mac mini, Satechi has also unveiled new accessories at CES 2026, including a mouse and two keyboards. The Satechi EX Wireless Mouse is a low-profile office mouse that can be paired with up to three devices at the same time, two via Bluetooth and one via the included USB-C dongle.


A button on the underside of the mouse can be pressed to switch between these three devices at any time. Despite its relatively affordable price, Satechi uses aluminum for the top shell. The switches are supposed to be relatively quiet, and the USB-C port for charging is located on the front. One notable feature is that the integrated battery can be replaced without tools if its capacity decreases after several years of use.

The same applies to the new EX1 and EX3 keyboards, which mainly differ in the fact that the EX3 sports a numeric keypad and full-size arrow keys. The battery is located under a cover that is secured to the chassis with just one screw and can therefore be replaced within a few minutes.
Satechi advertises a battery life of “several weeks”, although the keyboard does not have a backlight. The ultra-thin membrane keyboard is aimed at users who are accustomed to laptop keyboards, up to four devices can be paired via Bluetooth or a USB-C dongle. Meanwhile, a slider on the back switches between a Windows and macOS key layout.


Price and availability

The new Satechi products will first launch in the US, but Satechi typically releases its products in other markets a few weeks later. The Satechi EX Wireless Mouse costs $29.99, the compact Satechi Slim EX1 Wireless Keyboard is priced at $49.99, and the EX3 with numpad costs $69.99.
