Decent deal for anyone in the market for AirPods
If you’re in the market for some AirPods, Amazon Canada has a deal worth considering.
The online retailer currently has 3rd-generation AirPods on sale for $156.60 (about 35 per cent off). They typically retail for $239, so it’s a decent discount overall.
Notably, the deal only applies to the MagSafe-compatible version of the earbuds, with the Lightning version still at the regular $229 price.
Moreover, that deal makes the 3rd-gen AirPods cheaper than the newest version, the AirPods 4, which start at $179 (but if you want active noise cancellation, you’d need to fork out $249 instead).
Still, the $179 AirPods 4 are very similar to the 3rd-gen earbuds, with a few small differences. The AirPods 4 have the newer H2 chip, dust resistance, voice isolation, a vent system for pressure equalization, and that’s about it. In fact, the 3rd-gen AirPods actually have more battery life than the AirPods 4 (six instead of five), so if you don’t care about the other features, the 3rd-gen might actually be a better option.
