Michael Carrick’s first game since becoming head coach of Manchester United earlier this week will be one to remember.
Not only was it the first time our former midfielder led the Reds out in this current spell, it also ended in victory against, of all opponents, Manchester City.
Bryan Mbeumo’s opener was joined by a Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu strike just over 10 minutes later, securing all three points against Pep Guardiola’s side at the Theatre of Dreams.
