TL;DR
Fortnite x The Office has been teased by the official Fortnite X account via a beet-themed post.
Fortnite leakers have suggested that Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute will get skins in the crossover.
Other items that could feature in the crossover include emotes based on the various memes from the show.
Rumours say that the collab could be dropping with the next update on January 22, 2026.
Fortnite is known for its wide range of collaborations from across pop culture. From music stars to other video games, movies, and more, there is always a rumoured collaboration on the horizon. One of the most recent rumours relates to a potential crossover between Fortnite and one of the most well-known American comedy series of all time: The Office.
We’re going to look at the rumours and leaks circulating about a collaboration between Fortnite and The Office, as well as what has been confirmed. We’re also going to do some of our own speculation on what might be included if the crossover does come to be. Keep in mind that until anything is officially confirmed, this is all just rumoured information, even if it comes from relatively reliable leakers.
When did the Fortnite x The Office rumours begin?

On January 14, rumours began to circulate surrounding a Fortnite appearance by “a nostalgic duo from a live action TV series.” This came from a post by Fortnite leaker @ SamLeakss on X, who quoted another leaker – @AdiraFNInfo – as the source. Adira then came forward via another X post to say that nothing was confirmed on their end yet, but that more information would become available soon. This was where speculation surrounding Fortnite x The Office began.
The Office wasn’t the only television show that joined the Fortnite rumour mill at this time. Some other classic TV duos who were thrown into the mix of potential candidates included Walter and Jesse from Breaking Bad, Sam and Dean from Supernatural, Will and Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Mulder and Scully from The X-Files.
Another prominent Fortnite leaker, @Loolo_WRLD took to X to fuel the fire, stating “The Office x Fortnite seems to be in the works.” While they stated in the post that nothing had been confirmed, it suggested that the possibility of the aforementioned “nostalgic duo” being a pairing from The Office was more likely than the other characters who were being speculated about.
What has been confirmed about Fortnite x The Office?
On January 20, the official Fortnite X social media account pretty much confirmed that Fortnite x The Office is definitely happening. The account posted a picture of beets with the caption “Build. Beets. Battle Royale.” Fans of The Office will immediately recognise this as a reference to the show when Jim is copying Dwight. Despite the somewhat cryptic nature of the post, there is nothing else that this could be referring to, so it seems certain that The Office Fortnite crossover is in the works.
This teaser led to more speculation by leakers. The aforementioned @AdiraFNInfo posted on X shortly after the Fortnite account’s post, stating that the collab will feature Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute and will arrive with the next Fortnite update. The leaker also noted that two other prominent characters from the show, Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly, won’t be appearing in the crossover. This is still just rumours and hasn’t been confirmed yet, though.
However, the nature of the post regarding the beets does suggest that beet farmer Dwight will definitely be one of the two characters in the “nostalgic duo”. Although Jim does seem like a great candidate to be included in Fortnite, it does seem like Michael is the more viable option, seeing as he was the protagonist of the show for such a long time.
What could be included in a Fortnite x The Office collab?
Michael Scott is a treasure trove of meme content / Image credit: NBCUniversal
As well as the aforementioned skins, there is plenty of other content that a crossover between Fortnite and The Office could offer. The show birthed a variety of well-known memes in its lifetime (running from 2005 to 2013), and Fortnite has a habit of jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to Internet-style meme content. Cosmetics such as the recent 6 7 “Doot Doot” emote, the “This Is Fine” emote, and the Gangnam Style dance emote show how much effort Epic Games puts into keeping that kind of modern humour prominent in Fortnite, so the various memes that have spawned from The Office are sure to be fair game.
Here’s a look at some items that we might see in a Fortnite x The Office crossover. Keep in mind that this is all speculation right now, as the only thing confirmed is that the collab is happening.
