In a separate incident, Maguire received a 56-day driving ban and a ÂŁ1,052 fine for speeding at 85mph in a 50mph zone near Manchester Airport last March. His Range Rover was captured on camera exiting a tunnel under the runway at excessive speed.

At the time, he already had three points on his license from a 2021 violation. Two days later, he was again found speeding, adding three more points. His solicitor admitted that the speed was “wholly excessive,” and Maguire accepted the punishment, which included a £666 fine, £120 in court costs, and a £266 surcharge.

According to The Mirror, Maguire’s additional speeding violation resulted in a £1,000 fine and three more points on his license. Despite his driving troubles, Manchester United recently extended his contract by 12 months, exercising an option to do so. However, manager Ruben Amorim emphasized the need for Maguire to step up as a leader in what has been a challenging season for the club.
