The Houston Texans will have their two-time Pro Bowl running back available for Saturday’s playoff game.

Joe Mixon (ankle) is active for Houston’s Divisional Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mixon was added to the team’s injury report on Wednesday with an ankle injury and was a limited participant. On Thursday, it appeared that the Texans RB might not play after not practicing and drawing a questionable designation for Saturday’s tilt.

Houston’s worries have ceased heading into its second playoff game.

In last week’s Wild Card Weekend win against the Los Angeles Chargers, Mixon carried the ball 25 times for 106 yards and a touchdown. He became the second Texans player with 100-plus rushing yards in a playoff game, per NFL Research.

No other Texan recorded more than three carries against the Chargers.

This season, Mixon has showcased his abilities as a true workhorse with 245 carries, 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Texans RB has eight games with 100-plus rushing yards in 2024, including the playoffs. He earned his second Pro Bowl honor in his first campaign with the Texans.

Mixon and the Texans face the host Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium.
