Public Mobile has a new phone plan that’s perfect for those who don’t need much data and travel to the U.S. often.
Public Mobile’s plan costs $30 monthly and includes 6GB of data. It only includes 4G speeds, but if you need only 6GB of monthly data, you’re probably OK with 4G speeds which typically hit around 100 Mbps.
It also comes with unlimited talk and text in Canada, call display, voicemail, call waiting, call forwarding, conference calling, and a free eSIM, but it the deal only available for new activations.
It’s worth noting that Public Mobile has a better plan for $34. It offers 10GB per month at 5G speeds and works in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. But if you want to save about $50 per year and don’t need that extra 4GB of data monthly, I’d stick with the $30/6GB plan.
Recently, Public Mobile increased its plans by about $4 to $5 dollars. The $34/10GB 5G plan used to be $29 per month, so this new plan looks to be replacing that old one for those who want to pay only $30 per month.
