Sony is anticipated to enhance the camera experience on the Xperia 1 VII greatly. Sources indicated it will incorporate the Exmor T sensor across all three rear cameras, an upgrade from last year’s model, which featured this sensor only on the primary camera feature.

The Exmor T is the latest stacked CMOS sensor by Sony with a 2-layer transistor pixel technology. Compared with the decade-old Exmor RS, it greatly lowers noise, improving low-light performance, and boosts the higher dynamic range.

While Sony will enhance the sensor technology, the sensor sizes and megapixels might stay the same, according to the source – 52 MP (48 MP effective) for the main camera, along with 12 MP for the ultrawide and 12 MP for the telephoto.
