Tom Aspinall and his team continue to sit around waiting for news that Jon Jones will return for their much-demanded UFC heavyweight title unification fight.
After Jon Jones knocked out Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, calls for him to unify the title against interim champion, Tom Aspinall continued.
And although negotiations seemed to be going in the right direction, according to Dana White, Aspinall recently broke his silence by blaming Jones for their fight still not being scheduled.
With that, Aspinall has admitted he is now ‘bored’ of talking about Jon Jones, stating that if the fight gets made, he will be there for whatever date.

After assembling one of the best heavyweight teams at his gym in Manchester, Andy has aired his frustration with ‘Bones’ for not booking the fight, stating that ‘he should vacate’.
“You are contracted to do three fights a year and I think he’s worked himself into a position where (Aspinall) should fight for a belt,” Aspinall told Jamal Niaz.
“For me, if a guy doesn’t want to fight for the belt, he should vacate it. Tom isn’t bothered about Jones… Jon Jones is just another body in the gym, another b– in the shower.
“(Tom) just wants to compete, he’s a competitor. And as a coach, you want him to compete when he’s fit. You don’t want him just sitting around in the gym,” his father continued.
Jon Jones allegedly wants six months to prepare for Aspinall fightAccording to MMA Journalist, Ariel Helwani, Jones is demanding at least six months to prepare for the impending fight against Aspinall.
And with that, Jones’ alleged demand has been ridiculed by UFC legend, Chael Sonnen.
“What do you mean he needs six months, six months from when? Six months starting when? Dare do I guess, you mean from right now, don’t you? Anything that I’m saying aside from six months from now is silly,” Sonnen said in a video on his YouTube channel.
Seemingly, the fight was being targeted for International Fight Week at the end of June, with that date more and more unlikely by the day.
