Manchester City will hope to book their place in the FA Cup final when they face Nottingham Forest in the semis on Sunday afternoon.
The Citizens have reached the final in each of the past two seasons, winning once, but the competition represents City’s last remaining chance of winning silverware this term and Pep Guardiola will therefore be desperate to see his side lift the trophy next month.
Guardiola won’t have expected his side to have experienced such a disappointing season, and the Spaniard could therefore choose to overhaul his squad this summer.
Influential midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is already set to leave The Etihad at the end of the current campaign, but it has now emerged that another star could be on his way out.
According to CaughtOffside, Nottingham Forest have emerged as surprise contenders to sign Jack Grealish.
Grealish has struggled this season
The England international has endured a difficult campaign at The Etihad, scoring just once in the Premier League, and the report claims that City could therefore be willing to let the winger leave.
Grealish – who cost City £100 million when he joined from Aston Villa in 2021 – is under contract until the summer of 2027 but the report suggests that City will listen to offers in the region of £40 million for the Englishman.
The 29-year-old has started just seven of City’s 33 Premier League matches so far this term, with the likes of Jeremy Doku and Savio seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order.
The report suggests that Forest could make an audacious move to sign the winger if they qualify for the Champions League next season.
West Ham United are also said to be interested in the ex-Villa man, although they are currently regarded as outsiders.
