After showing up at random for the past few weeks, Walmart has unceremoniously released the Onn 4K Plus, its $30 Google TV streaming device that acts as a perfect Chromecast replacement.
Walmart has made some of the most affordable and shockingly great Android TV and Google TV devices in recent years. Going into 2025, there were some early rumblings about a new device in the works, which later turned into early user review leaks and listings showing up on Walmart’s website. Last week, the device was also showing up in stores, but wasn’t available online.
Now, though, Walmart has released Onn 4K Plus generally, and without any fanfare.

This new streamer packs updated specs compared to Walmart’s prior Google TV devices, most notably including 16GB of storage, and also brings improvements such as USB-C support. That’s for just $29.88, not only filling a gap left behind by the Chromecast’s death, but also doing it for a lower price. You’ll also find Dolby Vision and Atmos support, a faster chipset, and Wi-Fi 6 support as well.
To our test location in North Carolina, Walmart is shipping Onn 4K Plus immediately, with delivery as quick as May 20. We’re also seeing stock available for pickup at some nearby Walmart locations following an online purchase, but your results may vary.
Keep in mind, too, that you can only buy this device in the US, and it may be region-blocked elsewhere.
