The P/PTSD Perspective: July 12th, 2025

1) About that Kirk Cousins Trade…: Kirk Cousins has been in the headlines lately, largely due to some of the revelations coming around as a result of the Netflix series. Just a wild turn of events in Atlanta. One could have easily foreseen a future where he wasn’t the missing piece; a future that has gone so disastrously, though, is pretty wild.

2) Vikings Rookie Looks Like His Predecessor: If the prophecy proves true, then Gavin Bartholomew will have been a tremendous success. The 6th-Round rookie is playing behind two studs — T.J. Hockenson and Josh Oliver — so his snaps are likely to be modest. Performing in a manner akin to Johnny Mundt, however, would point toward a reasonably bright future.

3) Bleacher Report Takes Shot at Vikings: Truth be told, folks, no one actually knows how the season will unfold. Even the team’s leadership — Kevin O’Connell and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah — can’t predict things with perfect accuracy. What’s known is that the roster and coaching is strong; the young QB has much to prove and the schedule difficult. What’s the end result?

4) A Hometown Hero Could Be Gone in 51 Days: Possible. Safe to say, though, that doing so at this stage would be a bit of a surprise. A lot of the focus of the offseason has rested in making the team tougher and more capable of running the ball. Moving on from Mr. Ham would be a touch odd.

5) The Other Vikings Quarterback Earns a Strong Review from the Head Coach: Always good to get some praise from the boss, right? Max Brosmer still has a long way to go, but being praised as someone who is smart is a good thing. There’s no such thing as a Kevin O’Connell quarterback who can’t handle a lot of information.
