Source: TwitterIdris made the statement on Thursday, August 14, during a courtesy visit to the Governor of Enugu state, Mr Peter Mbah, where he commended both the federal and state governments’ developmental strides.
“All the information structure of the Federal Government was brought to Enugu to see and report on the positive efforts of President Tinubu and Governor Mbah,” Idris explained.He added:
“Tinubu has done so well that one will wonder if he is in his second term. We have seen what the governor has done, from the policies and programmes of his predecessor.”Cancer treatment facilities now available nationwideHighlighting a major healthcare milestone, the minister revealed that Nigeria now has six advanced cancer treatment centres, one in each geopolitical zone, equipped with world-class machines and staffed by trained experts.

“Anyone who wants to go abroad for cancer treatment is doing so out of choice, not necessity. We must give credit to President Tinubu for putting in place the right people to revamp the health sector.”Security agencies working in synergyThe minister also praised the administration’s efforts in improving national security through better coordination among security agencies.
“President Tinubu has made it possible for security agencies to synergise and achieve results. The improved security situation we are witnessing is evidence of that,” he noted.Idris, however, stressed that more work remained to be done, assuring that the President was committed to addressing all lingering challenges facing the country.
Okonjo-Iweala hails TinubuPreviously, Legit.ng reported that the director general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has called on the federal government to put social safety nets in place for poor Nigerians who are feeling the pains of President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms.
Okonjo-Iweala made this plea after a meeting with the president at the Aso Villa in Abuja, on Thursday, August 14.
Okonjo-Iweala also commended the president for the economic reforms, including petrol subsidy removal and the unification of the foreign exchange windows.
