The 2005 GameCube classic was developed by Vancouver’s Next Level Games
Super Mario Strikers will join the Nintendo Switch Online catalogue exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 3.
Developed by Vancouver’s Next Level Games, the acclaimed 2005 GameCube title mixes the Mario franchise with soccer mechanics. Mario-themed items like red shells and bananas can be used to hinder opponents on the field.
It should be noted that like any other GameCube game offered through Nintendo Switch Online, Super Mario Strikers will only be available on the service on Switch 2. This will be the fourth GameCube title in the catalogue following The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Soul Calibur II and F-Zero GX. Other GameCube fan-favourites confirmed to be coming to the catalogue down the line include Super Mario Sunshine, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Pokémon Colosseum, Chibi-Robo! and Luigi’s Mansion.
GameCube games are included with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which costs $63.99/year.
