TFT Paris Open is approaching fast, and while little is known about the set on which the event will be played, Riot Games has already shared all the details about tickets and passes.
The tournament will take place at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, bringing together more than 700 competitors and thousands of spectators.
With a massive prize pool of over $300,000 (~£246,000) and a packed three-day schedule of battles, panels, and community events, the Paris Open is set to be the biggest TFT event to date.
Combined with side events like 4v4, Double Up, Mort Mode, and casual carnival-style matches, the Paris Open will be as much a celebration of TFT as it is a competition.
TFT Paris Open Format and Prize Pool
The Main Event will see 768 players enter an open-bracket LAN tournament, with all matches played on Set 16. The first day of the competition will begin with three groups of 256 players each, competing in lobbies of eight and earning points based on placement.
Much like every other major TFT tournament, eight points will be awarded to the first-placed player in a lobby, down to one point for last rank. After the first day, the competition will be cut down to 256 players, with points resetting between each round.
The second day will raise the stakes even more with the introduction of the checkmate format. Once a player hits 20 points, they put their lobby “in check” and must secure a first-place finish to win outright. By the end of the day, only eight players will remain.
Those finalists will battle in one last checkmate lobby, where the eventual winner will claim the trophy and a grand prize of $100,000 (~£79,000). And while only one champion will lift the trophy, the Paris Open prize pool ensures that reaching the top 128 is well worth the effort.
From $25,000 (~£19,000) for second place to $450 (~£355) for those finishing between 65th and 128th, nearly every strong performance earns a reward. But with finite spots open for players to participate, those who’d like to will have to rush to get tickets.
