In all seriousness, it appears that some sort of Google data centre has gone down, bringing large parts of Google and other third parties down with it. Downdetector has issues listed for Discord, Google, Gmail, Google Drive, Spotify, Shopify, Destiny, Nest, Gas Buddy and lots of others.

As of the time of writing, some services appear to be coming back online, with reports of outages dropping drastically around 30 minutes after the outages began. Google has acknowledged the issue on its ‘Status Dashboard,’ saying, “Various Workspace services are experiencing elevated latency and error rates.” Google noted the issue at 11:35 a.m. ET and reportedly solved it by 12:05 p.m. ET.
