Pickens reaching a career high so early in the season is representative of a lot of factors, but notable among them is that he is now a member of the Cowboys.

Beyond setting a career high Pickens also caught a touchdown for a fifth straight game at Carolina. He became the first player since CeeDee Lamb (2023) to have a streak of such kind. Prior to Lamb it was Dez Bryant who did it, and Dez caught a touchdown in 5 straight games in both 2012 and 2013.

Pickens has been a revelation for the Cowboys. He is a big part of the success that the offense is having. What a phenomenal trade this has turned out to be so early on.
