The Eagles’ run game was back on full display Sunday against the Giants, and Saquon Barkley started the game hot with a 65-yard TD run. Unfortunately, his contributions ended after a 28-yard explosive play resulted in the RB pulling up and looking a little gimpy on his way to the medical tent. He was sidelined at the end of the third quarter against his former team, and with the Eagles up big ahead of a bye week, the team ruled him questionable to return with a groin injury.

After the game, Barkley reportedly told Erin Andrews that it wasn’t a big concern and that he didn’t even want to leave the game.

Barkley finished the day with 14 carries for 150 yards and two touchdowns, plus another 24 yards on four receptions. It was his best game of the season by far — his previous season-high was 88 yards against the Chiefs — and unfortunately ended earlier than hoped.

The Eagles will now head into their Week 9 bye with more than a handful of guys needing to really get their bodies some rest and heal up. Hopefully, Cam Jurgens and A.J. Brown are able to return to the offense after the break, and Barkley should be able to join them.
