Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved an increase in the monthly allowance for NYSC members serving in the state, moving it from ₦20,000 to ₦30,000.
He made the announcement during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 Batch B Stream I corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Damare, Girei LGA.
“As a government, we are committed to improving the welfare of corps members,” Fintiri said. “This increment aligns with our promise to create a friendly and supportive atmosphere for you.”
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri reaffirmed his commitment to youth development, announcing plans for a new NYSC orientation camp in Adamawa and urging corps members to contribute to the project, especially those with relevant technical backgrounds.
He emphasized the role of corps members in driving state policies, particularly in education, and encouraged them to uphold discipline, embrace community development, and build strong ties with their host communities.
“As bonafide citizens of Adamawa during your service year, you are expected to uphold discipline, engage in community development, and cultivate healthy interactions,” he added.
