Now available in Canada and the U.S
On July 17, Apple News launched “Emoji Game,” an original puzzle game for subscribers in Canada and the U.S.
“Emoji Game is the perfect addition to the Apple News+ suite of word and number puzzles, turning the emoji we use every day into a brainteaser that’s approachable and fun,” said Lauren Kern, editor-in-chief of Apple News.
The “Emoji Game” will require players to pick from a selection of emojis, which they will then use to fill in the blanks on three short phrases. The goal of this game is to fill in the blanks with the fewest actions possible. Phrases will all come with clues, which will count as an action affecting the score. Final scores can be tracked and shared in the “Apple Game Centre.”
Apple has stated that subscribers can access daily and archived puzzles, confirming that these will be updated daily. This daily “Emoji Game” puzzle will join other Apple News puzzles like “Crossword” and “Sudoku” as part of the publication’s puzzle portfolio.
