While this doesn’t reveal much about the battle royale mode, it adds to what has already been leaked, which is arguably more noteworthy. The same leaker shared in May that the battle royale mode will have some interesting mechanics when it comes to eliminated players. When playing in teams, players who get eliminated shortly after dropping in will get a second chance through a free redeployment.
Furthermore, the ‘Oversight’ system will let eliminated players still contribute via remote cameras, drones, and turrets. The team members still alive will need to capture an Oversight terminal which will then give eliminated players control of “advanced security systems with lethal potential.”
It should be noted that these leaks are coming out of the playtests so there is a possibility that these features do not make it to the final game. That being said, a modern setting battle royale with new features and updated movement mechanics would be an interesting change for the Battlefield series.
