Bayern Munich have confirmed that its first team player, Alphonso Davies will be out for ā€œseveral monthsā€ after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.

The news was confirmed on the official website of Bayern Munich on Wednesday, March 25, 2025. According to reports, Alphonso Davies sustained the injury during Canada’s 2-1 Concacaf Nations League third-place play-off win over the United States on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

The 24-year-oldĀ signed a new five-year contractĀ in February to end speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid. Dayot Upamecano will also be sidelined for several weeks after picking up a knee problem on international duty with France.
