Sultana, a housemate from Big Brother Naija Season 10, expressed her views on the Week 5 nominations.
The show reverted to a traditional nomination process for this week.
Housemates were required to nominate two contestants for potential eviction.
Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Sultana, has shared her thoughts on the Week 5 nominations that took place on Monday evening.
According to GistLover, the show reintroduced the traditional nomination process, where housemates were required to select two fellow contestants for potential eviction. This replaced the earlier system in which all housemates were automatically up for eviction since the season began.
During her diary session with Biggie on Tuesday, Sultana explained that she was nominated because other housemates viewed her as a threat in the game. She described herself as a strategic player who focuses on eliminating strong competitors rather than weaker ones.
“I was nominated because people see me as competition. If I had the power to eliminate housemates, I wouldn’t target the weak; I would go after the strong ones who could challenge me later,” she said.
In a surprising development, the nominations were later voided after Rooboy, the Head of House, drew a power from the Tree of Trinkets labeled “Nullify Nominations.” As a result, no housemate will be evicted this week, and everyone remains safe in the game.
In other news… A Nigerian lady has cried out over a sharp increase in her house rent, which her landlord raised to ₦700,000 in Edo State after earlier increments from ₦280,000 to ₦350,000.
Her ordeal was shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, who narrated the tenant’s frustration with the constant rent hikes.
She revealed that despite several messages sent to the landlord by herself and other tenants, he never responded. According to her, she returned home one day to find a document placed at her doorstep, only to discover it was a letter from the landlord’s lawyer.
The letter instructed her to pay the new rent of ₦700,000 before December or vacate the apartment.
Expressing her displeasure, she wrote:
“At this point, can we all drag the landlord? Because this morning I just saw this at my door. I opened it and saw lawyers sent me papers from my landlord that house rent is from ₦350,000 to ₦700,000, and I must pay this money by December.
If I can’t afford it, I should pack out. Mind you, our house rent was ₦280,000, they increased it to ₦350,000 and we didn’t complain. Now ₦700,000? In this small Edo State? What is the reason for this increment? We wrote the landlord, he doesn’t reply.”
The post quickly drew attention online, with many Nigerians reacting and sharing their thoughts in the comment section.
