BREAKING: Kano Commissioner Mohammed Diggol Resigns Less Than A Month After Cabinet Reshuffle

A statement by the Kano State Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday, confirmed that Governor Abba Yusuf accepted the resignation. 

Mohammed Diggol, Kano State Commissioner for the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, has resigned from his position.

A statement by the Kano State Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday, confirmed that Governor Abba Yusuf accepted the resignation. 

It noted that Mr Diggol initially served as the transportation commissioner when the administration began in 2023.

Mr Diggol was moved from the transport ministry to the project monitoring and evaluation ministry in December 2024 during a cabinet reshuffle.

“He was later reassigned to the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, where he served until his resignation today,” the statement read.

Governor Yusuf expressed his appreciation for Mr Diggol’s contributions, stating, “Governor Yusuf expressed his gratitude to Engr. 

Diggol for his selfless service, unwavering commitment, dedication, and exemplary work ethic during his tenure as a member of the State Executive Council.”

The governor also extended his best wishes to the former commissioner, wishing him success in his future endeavours.
