Cole Palmer scored twice to help Chelsea defeat Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey on Sunday.
The Blues had won the competition in its previous format in 2021 but went into Sunday’s match as underdogs against the Champions League holders.
Palmer soon put Enzo Maresca’s side in front, though, with a calm finish into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area.
The England international then reproduced an almost identical finish to double his tally and Chelsea’s lead, before providing the assist for Joao Pedro to add the Blues’ third.
The Premier League side will now reign as world champions at least until 2029, when the tournament returns.
In the wake of their victory, it has emerged that Chelsea are considering a shock move for a Premier League winger.
As per TBR Football, the London side are weighing up whether or not to reignite their interest in Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho.

The 21-year-old was one of few impressive performers for the Red Devils last term, as they finished 15th in the Premier League table.
The Argentine scored 11 goals and registered ten assists for United, but spoke publicly of his disappointment after being left out of the starting line-up for their defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final in Bilbao.
Chelsea previously explored a move for the winger in January, although the move never materialised.
According to the report, though, Garnacho’s representatives are once again trying to find the player a move away from Old Trafford, with the Argentina international keen to depart his current club.
Garnacho joined United from Spanish side Atletico Madrid in 2020 and has since played more than 140 times for the club across all competitions.
Chelsea’s interest in the player comes in the wake of the departure of Jadon Sancho, who has returned to United following a loan spell at Stamford Bridge last term.
