Chelsea picked up their first points of this season’s Champions League group phase campaign with a 1-0 win over Benfica on Tuesday night.
Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge started off disappointingly as his Benfica side fell behind to an own goal early on.
Neither side were unable to find the back of the net after the opener, meaning Enzo Maresca’s side picked up all three points and are off the mark in the group stage.
Next up for Chelsea domestically is a home match against Liverpool, while their next European fixture sees them host Dutch side Ajax.
Ahead of the visit of Liverpool, Chelsea’s stance on selling two key players has been revealed.
According to Football Insider, the Blues have no intention of selling either Enzo Fernandez or Moises Caicedo, amid interest in the duo from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The West London outfit spent more than £100 million each on the two midfielders, who both initially struggled in England.
Both Caicedo and Fernandez have since impressed, though, with the former in particular establishing himself as one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League over the past couple of seasons.
Caicedo, 23, has played 106 times since joining Chelsea from Brighton and Hove Albion in 2023, while 24-year-old Fernandez has featured on 124 occasions since a move from Benfica in January of the same year.
It is claimed that those in charge of the London side perceive both Caicedo and Fernandez – under contract until 2031 and 2032 respectively – as key parts of the cub’s future plans.
Chelsea are therefore intent on keeping hold of both players and will not entertain any offers for either midfielder, with the report suggesting that it would take a huge offer for the Blues to even consider selling.
