Comedian Deeone has resurfaced an old clip of VeryDarkMan (VDM) acknowledging that Afrobeats star Davido once booked a hotel room for him in Lagos.
The comic’s post comes shortly after VDM publicly declared that he has never received any financial assistance or support from the award-winning singer.
VDM made the claim while addressing Davido’s fans, who often label him an ingrate whenever they feel he is not loyal to the musician. According to him, he has “never collected a dime” from the singer and wanted to set the record straight.
However, Deeone countered his statement by sharing an old video in which VDM is heard saying, “See the sweet room wey OBO book for me,” seemingly referring to Davido’s gesture.
While posting the clip, Deeone questioned VDM’s credibility, asking whether someone who lies can truly claim to have integrity.
