Legendary Juju musician Ebenezer Obey has spoken out to clear the air after false reports that he passed away circulated online.
The 83-year-old icon took to his Instagram page on Monday, April 21, 2025, to address the false reports making rounds on social media.
Earlier in the day, fans flooded the internet with tributes and condolence messages, believing the legendary singer had died. However, in a video shared online, Ebenezer Obey made it clear that he is alive and well.
“I dey kampe,” he said cheerfully, urging fans not to believe the fake news. He emphasized that it is not yet his time, reassuring supporters that what God has promised him will still be fulfilled.
Obey also mentioned visiting fellow music veteran King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, who recently lost his mother, as part of his recent activities. He ended the video on a positive note, affirming his faith in God’s plan and his continued journey in life and music.
