Looks like the base Pixel 10 is getting a telephoto camera
As I predicted, the Pixel 10 series has been leaked this week.
Android Headlines and @OnLeaks have assembled renders of the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL; however, they’ve left the Pixel 10 Pro Fold out of this party. OnLeaks is attributing these renders to CAD factory designs, meaning the appearance may differ slightly compared to the final product at launch.
According to the leak, the Pixel 10 will sport three rear cameras and a 6.3-inch display. Its dimensions are 152.8 x 72 x 8.6mm, making it slightly thicker than its predecessor. The bezels will also remain the same.
The Pixel 10 Pro will be practically identical to its predecessor, with a 6.3-inch display and pretty much the same dimensions—it’s 0.1 millimetre thicker (152.8 x 72 x 8.6mm). The Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 will have the same dimensions, which means cases should fit either phone.
The handset will sport a triple camera setup with a periscope telephoto shooter, and feature glossy sides.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL is also expected to have the same dimensions as its predecessors, 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5mm. It is expected to sport a periscope shooter alongside ultrawide and primary cameras.
These devices will sport the TSMC-manufactured Tensor G5, moving away from Samsung. RAM and storage configurations, camera specs, and battery sizes are unclear, but we’ll likely learn more in the coming months ahead of the launch. Speaking of launch, Android Headlines indicates that the phones will launch in August, similar to the devices’ predecessors. However, unlike last year, the handsets will launch with the latest version of Android, Android 16, which is expected to be ready by late May or early June.
This past weekend, I posted an article about what I want to see in the Pixel 10 series. Unfortunately, the device isn’t thinner like I wanted, and the cameras aren’t flushed, but I got a telephoto on the base Pixel 10, so a little win isn’t too bad.
