Now you can talk to Google’s AI on your wrist
Gemini is rolling out on Wear OS watches from Pixel, Samsung, Oppo, OnePlus and Xiaomi.
With this update, you’re able to say “Hey Google,” press and hold the side button on your watch, or tap the Gemini app on your watch to access the company’s AI-powered assistant.
This uses the same Gemini AI models as what’s on your phone, and offers a natural and intelligent ways to access information without your phone.
Google gave some examples of when to use Gemini on your watch, such as when your hands are full and you need to ask quick questions, if you’re on a bike ride, or when your phone isn’t on your body.
Gemini on your watch can tap into other apps like Google Calendar or Gmail. It can also remember information like where you parked, and you can set reminders.
This is rolling out to Wear OS watches running Wear OS 4 or later over the coming weeks.
