Earlier, actress Regina Chukwu had broken the news in an emotional tribute, recalling how the late actor supported her during her early days in the film industry. Her post prompted an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues.
In a recent update, Afod revealed that Oloto had attended church on the day of the incident. He reportedly felt unwell and decided to visit a nearby hospital for a check-up. While seated at the reception and complaining of discomfort, he suddenly collapsed and passed away.
Afod expressed shock over his friend’s unexpected death, reflecting on the fleeting nature of life and praying for his soul to rest in peace.
The loss has left Nollywood colleagues mourning, with many remembering Oloto for his warmth and supportive nature on set. Fans and friends have also offered prayers for his family’s strength during this difficult time.
Sadly, his passing comes shortly after the deaths of two other entertainers in August actress Motola Odunsi and TikTok dancer Vivian Chinelo.
