8.5 inches of Mario and his kart
A new Mario Kart-themed Lego set has been revealed for March 10, AKA MAR10 Day, and it’s a particularly massive one.
Impressively, the Lego Super Mario Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart set includes 1,972 pieces, making it the toy brand’s largest Mario set outside of the 2,807-piece Mighty Bowser. However, this new $219.99 set doesn’t recreate any Mario Kart track — it’s literally an 8.5 in. (22 cm) replica of Mario in his kart. It even comes with a special stand and posable arms so you can display Mario in his full racer glory.

The new Mario Kart Lego set can be pre-ordered at the Lego Store, with shipments beginning on May 15. To celebrate MAR10 Day, you can also get double the Lego Store points on all Mario set purchases until March 11.
