A medical practitioner, identified by his Facebook handle Onyedika Justice, has publicly reacted to the announcement of new tax reforms set to take effect in Nigeria in 2026. The reforms were detailed by Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee.

The doctor posted on social media, expressing shock and dismay over the significant amount he calculated would be deducted from his salary starting next year. While the specific amount was not disclosed, Onyedika Justice linked the substantial deductions to a national societal shift:
