Actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has said that the negative influence of her close friends caused her music career to fail.
Reflecting on Instagram, she recalled her 2013 music debut with songs like “Hi” and “Crazically Fit.”
Tonto advised fans to choose their friends wisely, adding humorously that with the right talent, she could have surpassed stars like Tiwa Savage, Cece Winans, or Whitney Houston.

Reflecting on Instagram while singing Don Moen’s “God is Good,” the 40-year-old recalled her brief stint in music, which began in 2013 with songs like “Hi” and “Crazically Fit.”
She said her failed music journey reminds her of the negative people around her at the time and advised fans to choose friends wisely.
Tonto jokingly added that with real talent, she could have surpassed stars like Tiwa Savage, Cece Winans, or Whitney Houston.
