Award-winning Nigerian filmmaker Kemi Adetiba has opened up about her ongoing battle with fibroids.
The movie producer shared her experience while reacting to an Instagram post by Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie, who gave an update on her own health journey. Ini appealed to medical professionals to find a lasting cure for fibroids and encouraged women facing the condition to stay strong.
“We NEED a cure for fibroids. In the meantime, I hope every woman dealing with it is hanging in there. Just know that you are not alone,” Ini wrote.
In response, Kemi Adetiba disclosed that she has undergone two surgeries for fibroids and may be preparing for a third.
“I’ve had surgery twice for this already, and it now seems I might need a third. Sigh,” she said.

Meanwhile, a viewer sparked a conversation online, suggesting that actor Daniel Etim-Effiong would have been a better fit for Bucci Franklin Obuz’s role in the series, noting that his performance style might have delivered the character differently.
