UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev has called out 205-pound titleholder Alex Pereira on social media, suggesting a matchup between the two could take place on the UFC’s proposed White House card this summer.

Chimaev issued the challenge via his X account, directly addressing former two-division champion Pereira and referencing the high-profile event that UFC president Dana White has said is being planned. The comments have fuelled speculation about possible marquee bouts for the card, which is expected to feature some of the promotion’s biggest names.

“Let’s go White House. Don’t worry, I will finish you fast,” Chimaev wrote while tagging Pereira in the post, making his intentions clear.

Chimaev followed up with another message aimed at rallying Pereira’s home support. “All Brazilian fans tell this boy if you’re not scared tell him to fight,” Chimaev wrote, adding laughing emojis as he continued to taunt the Brazilian striker.

Pereira, a former middleweight champion and current light heavyweight titleholder, has not publicly responded to Chimaev’s challenge. The potential matchup would represent a significant stylistic clash, pitting Chimaev’s wrestling-heavy approach against Pereira’s elite striking.

No fights have yet been officially announced for the White House card, and the UFC has not confirmed whether Chimaev or Pereira will be involved. Any bout between the two would also require agreement on weight class and timing.

Chimaev remains unbeaten in his UFC career and has frequently used social media to call for high-profile opponents, while Pereira continues to be positioned as one of the promotion’s biggest stars following his rapid rise across multiple divisions.

The UFC’s card on the south lawn of the White House is expected to take place in June as part of celebration’s marking the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.
