2025 FIM ISDE ITALY // FULL COVERAGE
Starting the second half of the 2025 ISDE, all eyes were focused on the battle between the four-time reigning ISDE champion, Josep Garcia, and his nemesis for the last five years, the Italian favorite, Andréa Verona. By the end of the fourth day of racing, the fans were not disappointed.

Verona would take the win in the first three special tests of the day, while Garcia would lose nearly eight seconds of his lead that he had built up over the first three days. Garcia would fire back in the fourth test, taking the win, and gaining back over five seconds on Verona. Test six would be claimed by French Junior rider Léo Joyon, while the sixth test win would be snagged by Italian Junior rider Alberto Elgari. In front of the partisan crowd at the final test of the day, Verona would take the win once again, while fellow Italian Samuéle Bernadini would give the home team a 1-2 finish to end the afternoon. Verona took the Day four victory ahead of Garcia, while Sweden’s Mikael Persson would finish third with the help of three top-three finishes for the day. Bernadini claimed fourth ahead of Sweden’s Albin Norrbin, rounding out the top five. Morgan Lesiardo of Italy would take sixth ahead of the top Junior rider for the day, Australia’s Kyron Bacon. Johnny Girroir would claim top American honors on Day 4, posting three top ten finishes for the afternoon. Max Ahlin was the third Swede in the top ten, while French Trophy rider Julien Roussaly would claim third in the final test of the day, rounding out the top ten.

It was a stronger performance from the boys of U.S.A. compared to Day 3, as Grant Davis would take fourth Junior rider honors for the day, and fifteenth scratch. Cody Barnes looked more comfortable on his Honda machine, finishing just four seconds off Davis for sixteenth on the day. Josh Toth while battling with a slight sickness and injury, would soldier through for a thirty-sixth place performance at the end of Wednesday’s racing. Danté Oliveira would have a solid Day 4, however, a crash in the second test of the morning would hurt his otherwise top twenty five finishes, ultimately landing in thirty eighth for the day. Cooper Jones had a finish just outside the top twenty in the fifth test in Bossico, while the rest of his test times would place him fifty fifth for the day’s results. Matéo Oliveira had his second lackluster day in a row, ending the day in seventieth place on the time sheets.

Brandy Richards is helping lead the Women’s Trophy Team 30 minutes over second place heading into day 5.

Brandy Richards would take five of the seven test wins on Day 4, winning the day outright by eleven seconds over teammate Korie Steede, who had a test win of her own, and Day 3 outright winner Danielle Macdonald of Australia, who had a test win of her own on Day 4. Rachel Gutish finished fourth on the day, putting in a few test times that were ahead of her two countrywomen.

Day 5 mixes more old and new tests to close out special test racing. However, everyone is awaiting for possible route and test modifications, as roughly two and a half inches of rain are expected to fall in the area during Day 5.
