UFC 316 this coming Saturday will mark the return of Joe Rogan as he replaces UFC legend, Dominick Cruz on commentary duties.
This coming Saturday, the UFC returns to Newark, New Jersey for UFC 316, as Merab Dvalishvili looks to defend his bantamweight title for a second time when he takes on Sean O’Malley in a huge rematch.
After winning the title from ‘Suga’ back at UFC 306 last September, Dvalishvili went on to defend the strap against Umar Nurmagomedov this past January, utterly dominating the undefeated contender.
Ahead of their blockbuster rematch on Saturday, Dvalishvili has confidently claimed that he will knockout O’Malley, despite being most well-known for his dominant and relentless grappling.

And with Joe Rogan‘s absence, he was replaced by UFC legend, Dominick Cruz, who joined Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier on commentary duties in Canada.
Despite that, with the promotion returning to New Jersey, it has been confirmed that Rogan will return to commentary duties, replacing the former UFC bantamweight champion, Cruz.
Rogan last commentated at UFC 314 in Miami, when Alexander Volkanovski reclaimed his UFC featherweight title after a dominant performance against Diego Lopes.
For a while now, Rogan has made it clear that he won’t travel internationally to commentate on UFC events.
UFC 316 kicks off a busy month for Joe RoganDespite having missed out on UFC 315, the longtime UFC color commentator is set for an extremely busy June with the promotion scheduled for two PPV events.
The UFC 316 title fight double header includes a women’s bantamweight title fight between Julianna Pena and Kayla Harrison, with Harrison finally scheduled to fight for UFC gold.
And then on June 28, Rogan will be back in the commentary booth as the UFC is set to return to Las Vegas for International Fight Week, culminating with two more title fights at UFC 317.
Alexandre Pantoja is set to defend his flyweight title against Kai Kara-France, and Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira clash in a vacant lightweight title fight.
