Reports indicate that Chelsea might just be the next stop for Juventus in the 2025 transfer window in search of players.
Juventus is actively looking to strengthen its defense, and Ben Chilwell is one of the players under consideration. Chilwell has faced a tough season at Chelsea, making only one appearance so far, and it appears that Enzo Maresca doesn’t rate him highly. Juventus, meanwhile, is in need of a left-back to address defensive gaps, particularly with Juan Cabal’s injury creating a hole in their backline.
Renato Veiga, however, doesn’t seem to be a major target for Juventus according to reports, as there is no clear indication that he’s on their radar. There could be little news about him, or perhaps Juventus simply isn’t focusing on him at this moment. That said, Chilwell’s experience and ability make him a strong candidate for the Turin club.
Additionally, Juventus hopes to boost its transfer budget with support from Manchester City, which could provide the funds needed for major signings. For now, though, the primary focus seems to be on Chilwell.
Juventus is reportedly interested in both Ben Chilwell and Renato Veiga, and the club’s directors are meeting with Chelsea officials to discuss potential deals. Chilwell is especially seen as an ideal replacement for Andrea Cambiaso, who is attracting interest from Manchester City. Regarding Veiga, he might be viewed as a possible replacement for the injured Gleison Bremer, which adds further intrigue to how these transfers could unfold.
As for Chelsea’s upcoming match against Wolves, neither Chilwell nor Veiga is expected to be part of the squad due to injuries. Chelsea’s lineup looks strong, with Enzo Fernandez, Noni Madueke, and Nicolas Jackson expected to feature.
Despite some recent inconsistencies, Chelsea remains fifth in the Premier League. On the other hand, the Wolves are struggling at 18th place with only 7 points from 10 matches, although they have promising players like Rayan Ait-Nouri, who is impressed with his dribbling and ball control.
