“Rest in peace, my beloved dad, Alhaji Ahuja Bello. We love you, but God loves you more.”

Born Ismaila Dele Bello on August 24, 1942, in Iseyin, Oyo State, Ahuja Bello became one of the leading figures in Juju music as a guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader during the 1970s and 1980s.

Originally trained as an electronic technician, he later followed his passion for music, establishing his group, “Ahuja Bello and His Golden Eagles Band,” in 1976.

In other news… In a rather unusual twist, a Nigerian pastor has stirred social media buzz after openly advising his church members to go and register at the now-trending “GehGeh University.”

During a recent church service, the clergyman, while addressing his congregation, referenced the viral GehGeh movement that has taken over Nigerian streets and online spaces. To the surprise of many, he encouraged his members not to ignore the wave but to be part of it.

His comments have since gone viral, with netizens debating whether he was making a joke, trying to stay relatable to youths, or genuinely endorsing the controversial trend.
