Liverpool boss Arne Slot will hope to see his side improve when domestic football returns following the international break.
The Reds head into the break having lost each of their past three matches, having suffered Premier League defeats against Crystal Palace and Chelsea either side of a 1-0 loss against Turkish champions Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Slot will hope to see his side return to winning ways when they face Manchester United later this month, but in the meantime it appears that the Dutchman has been handed a boost.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is happy at Anfield, despite being linked with a move away from the club over the summer.

Gomez, 28, was linked with a move to Italian side AC Milan during the recent summer transfer window, but the proposed switch fell through after Liverpool failed to complete the signing of Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
Since joining the Reds from Charlton Athletic a decade ago, Gomez has played more than 240 times for the Merseyside club across all competitions.
He has made just two Premier League appearances so far this term, though, and failed to start a single game in the competition for Slot’s side.
Despite his relative lack of playing time, the report claims that Gomez is happy to stay at Liverpool whilst he is still playing matches for the club.
It is claimed that Liverpool are also very reluctant to allow the Englishman to leave, with the Reds likely to want to sign a new defender in January as opposed to allowing one of their current crop to depart.
Gomez is under contract with Liverpool until the end of the 2026/27 season, but the report suggests that he is likely still the subject of interest from clubs in Europe following Milan’s failed attempt to sign the versatile defender, who can play as a full-back or a centre-back.
