Virgil van Dijk’s late goal earned Liverpool a win over West Ham United on Sunday that edged them closer to the Premier League title.

The Reds were ten points ahead of second-placed Arsenal when they welcomed the Hammers to Anfield, and they went ahead through Luis Diaz before half-time.

An Andy Robertson own goal then levelled things up, but Van Dijk’s late goal secured a crucial victory for Arne Slot’s side, who could now win the title in their next match if Arsenal lose against Ipswich Town next time out.

Liverpool had been boosted in the build up to Sunday’s match by news that Mohamed Salah had signed a new two-year contract with the club, and club captain Van Dijk is now expected to follow suit.

According to TBR Football, the Reds are currently in talks with three other players with a view to agreeing new contracts.

The report claims that Liverpool are in discussions with Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley and Curtis Jones about new deals.

Jones is in talks over a new deal with Liverpool

Konate, 25, is set to be out of contract at the end of next season, but the report suggests that the club are already in talks with the player’s representatives and there is belief that he will sign a new deal imminently.

Midfielder Jones, meanwhile, is a product of the Reds’ youth system and, although he has more than two years remaining on his current deal, the report claims that the club are keen to agree a new long-term contract.

Full-back Bradley is also under contract until the summer of 2027, but the report claims that talks have been held in recent months with the player’s representatives, with a view to agreeing a new deal.

The trio have featured more than 100 times for Liverpool in total this season, and it appears that Slot and those in charge of the club view all three players as instrumental to the Dutchman’s squad.
