The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship has announced a partnership with Red Bull, marking the first time the energy drink brand has sponsored the M Series.
As part of this partnership, Red Bull will take over the M7 Carnival and also bring a ‘gaming ground’ to the main stage of the tournament.
The collaboration comes after the success of M6, which generated $135m (~€115m) in brand value, according to a report by Shikenso and MOONTON.
“Working with Red Bull is about pushing the boundaries of what gaming and esports can achieve,” said Ringo Lung, Senior Regional Esports Sales Manager at MOONTON Games.
“Their experience in sports and live events, paired with our esports ecosystem, allows us to craft experiences that rival traditional sports in scale and excitement.”
Red Bull to Bring Live Performances to the M7 Carnival and Gaming Ground
Red Bull will be organising exclusive live performances across the three-day M7 Carnival, happening across the city of Jakarta. This includes artists such as Naykilla, Hemsii, DJ VILOID, and Dipha Barus.
Besides this, Red Bull will introduce a Gaming Ground at M7. This is set to feature a Red Bull Energy Zone, which will be open to athletes, VIPs, and selected fans. The zone will have an entertainment arena and will be equipped with a bar, a Red Bull Event car, live DJ performances, and a viewing lounge to watch all the MLBB esports action.
“This partnership also opens the door to more innovative ways to engage fans and demonstrates how gaming and esports can deliver immersive, globally connected experiences,” Lung added.
MLBB M7 World Championship Enters Swiss Stage
After the conclusion of the Wildcard Stage of the M7, where Team Zone and Boostgate Esports emerged as the top two winners, the action will now shift to the Swiss Stage.
16 teams are set to battle it out from January 10th to 17th for eight slots in the Knockout Stage. The fans will be able to watch the matches live on MLBB’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.
The M7 Knockout Stage is scheduled to kickoff on January 18th and will then continue from January 21st to 25th. This year, a new world champion will be crowned, as the M6 champion ONIC PH failed to qualify for the tournament.
