Manchester United will aim to win consecutive Premier League matches for the first time in more than 14 months when they visit Liverpool on Sunday.
The last time the Red Devils won back-to-back games in the league was at the start of last season, when they followed up a victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on the final day of the 2023/24 season with a 1-0 win over Fulham on the opening weekend of the 2024/25 campaign.
Ruben Amorim is therefore yet to oversee consecutive Premier League victories since taking charge of United in November last year, but their trip to rivals Liverpool on Sunday could represent an opportunity to do so, with the reigning champions having lost their last three matches across all competitions.
In the meantime, however, it has emerged that one of the most experienced members of Amorim’s squad could be on his way out of the club next summer.
As per TEAMtalk, midfielder Casemiro is unlikely to stay put at Old Trafford beyond the end of the current campaign.

The Brazilian has been a regular since Amorim took charge of United and the Portuguese is said to be a huge admirer of the 33-year-old, however the report suggests that he is likely to leave next summer.
Casemiro joined United from La Liga giants Real Madrid in 2022, following a hugely successful spell in the Spanish capital during which he won 18 trophies including five Champions Leagues.
He has since featured more than 130 times for the Manchester club across all competitions, but the midfielder is in the final year of his contract with the Red Devils and – although the deal includes an option to extend by a further 12 months – the report suggests that he could leave Man United next summer.
