Miguel Torres seems to think he got screwed over by Dana White and the UFC.
Back in 2011, Torres was briefly released from the UFC for tweeting, “If a rape van was called a surprise van more women wouldn’t mind going for rides in them.” At the time, White told Sports Illustrated “There’s absolutely nothing I could say to make any sense of that” and said the action disturbed him, leading to Torres’s release.
How the times have changed.
Last week, UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell debut his new podcast and in the first episode declared that Adolf Hitler — reviled Nazi leader who orchestrated the deaths of millions during The Holocaust — was actually “a good guy” and that he “fought for his country, he wanted to purify it by kicking the greedy Jews out that were destroying his country and turning them all into gays.”
When notified of Mitchell’s comments, White categorically denounced them, saying Mitchell’s comments were “beyond disgusting” but failed to cut Mitchell or levy any form of punishment upon him.
On Monday, Torres pointed out the difference in treatment he received, with a scathing Tweet aimed at the UFC CEO.

Torres was ultimately reinstated with the UFC after a few weeks, following a public apology and Torres taking steps to rectify his actions by visiting rape crisis centers in the Chicago area.
Mitchell did recently issue an apology for his comments, saying he “sounded insensitive” and “was not trying to offend anybody.”
Torres is a former WEC bantamweight champion and was once thought to be one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He retired from MMA in 2017.
