Dickey, a defensive lineman who transferred to MGCCC from Nicholls State, was remembered by his coaches and teammates as a dedicated player and a positive presence both on and off the field on social media.

Born in Biloxi, Dickey was a standout at Biloxi High School before continuing his football career at the college level.

The college announced that counseling and support services will be made available to players and staff. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dickey Brothers Memorial Funeral Home in Biloxi.

Please keep the Dickey family in your prayers.
